In August 2024, the Bamboo Club Foundation organized another panda volunteer trip to Dujiangyan, China. This marks the revival of the club’s routine activities, which had been paused since December 2020. Max Feng led a group of six young people from California and New York to clean panda enclosures, chop bamboo, prepare nutritional food for the pandas, and document the pandas’ behaviors. Their work was showcased on social media to promote the ideas of wildlife conservation and coexistence between humans and animals. The highlight of this trip was Max’s reunion with Bai Yun’s mother, who had retired from San Diego and returned to China.
